I'm even a huge Punto guy because I, well, like I said, I'm a big homer.

I guess we are supposed to hope that Nishioka is better than advertised? I do and will continue to, but man, if he was, my gut tells me the Twins wouldn't have been able to sign him so easily.

I do like Casilla's goatee better than Hardy's. So there's that.@NicoSamuelson2noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5064547517730087223.post-54298946400893918702010-12-10T09:32:54.380-06:002010-12-10T09:32:54.380-06:00The Twins are actually thinking way ahead on this ...The Twins are actually thinking way ahead on this one - by giving Baltimore an upgrade at shortstop for nothing, they are hoping that the AL East will be more competitive and that the Orioles will get more wins against Boston, Tampa, and New York - if they do well enough, maybe the Wild Card comes out of the Central, in which case one of the Yankees or Red Sox are eliminated from the playoffs before the playoffs even begin (or even both!). And if I'm the Twins and I have a choice between trying to get better or trying to obliquely sabotage the team we can't beat in the playoffs under the guise of "cost-savings", there's no question. Is there anyone we can ship to Toronto to help their (I mean our) cause too?

Either that, or else the Twins are planning on signing Brett Favre to a 26 year contract to play short stop so he can be an iron man in baseball too. Either way we win I guess.

-AltoAltonoreply@blogger.com
